A couple of great teams coming together to play an awesome game of Lacrosse!   Back in 2011 I filmed my first lacrosse game, the two teams were BK and Centennial for the TVLL championships . I created a highlight video featured on Lacrosse Allstars.  I love being involved filming, especially watching my own kids play.

Mavs vs BK Lacrosse game at Mountain View High School: The first half seemed very close, BK was holding their own against the dominant Mavs, and then when the second half started BK started to crumble and the Mavs started to pull away.  Check out the highlights!

A good start to the week for the Mountain View Mavericks Lacrosse team.  Boise Braves hosted the Mavs at Hillside Jr high this past Wednesday.  There was a break in the rain, and both teams played in sunshine that evening.  The field was very interesting, when I arrived I could tell there was a rise in elevation from the South goal to the North goal.  So each team will have to take turns going up hill to score.  The Braves were no match for the Mavericks potent offense, but they didn’t do to bad considering the other defensive juggernaut bouts we have had holding  teams to as little as 2 points. The Braves were able to get off at least 5 goals to the Mavs 22-23 scores?  I can’t remember how much the Mavs scored but I think in the low 20s.  I was not able to record the lat 10 minutes of the game do to technical difficulites.  Please enjoy the highlights!

Sweet Caroline!  Great game, great competition!  Rocky has been the toughest contender (within conference play) this year.  Great job boys, please enjoy the highlights.  I love when the boys are warming up for the games and I hear a little Neal Diamond playing and they sing along “Sweet Caroline”.  Close game, but Mavs pulled away defeating the Grizz, 12-8!

Mountain View Lacrosse vs Timberline Timber Wolves

The first meeting of these to power house teams since last years championship game.  Remember last years game? Timberline took the Mavericks to the woodshed. The Wolves totally dominated the Mavericks most of the game.  Well, here we are, and Timberline with an all new cast, loosing most of their players to graduation while the Mavs only lost a handful of seniors from last year.   The tables have turned, and Mountain view comes out on top in a big way.  Check out the highlights and tell us what you think! Last game of the weekend tournament here in Treasure Valley for the Mavericks .  Mtn View vs Park City Miners Varsity Lacrosse.  Was a great game for the Mavericks, lots of awesome plays.  The team is working so well together, it is truly so fun to watch.  Cade Brown, #16 the goalie had an awesome game!  When you watch the highlights you will see all the amazing saves he had.  The game was filmed at 4pm Saturday March 25th at Rocky High School in Brighton Stadium.  Great Weekend of play for the Mavericks!  And now Spring break here we come!

First game of two for Saturday play for the Mtn View Mavericks Lacrosse team meeting on Meridian High School field with Union Lacrosse Club from Washington State.  Union was the D2 Champions last year in Washington.  I’m pretty sure their goalie is a super hero, not sure how may total saves he had, but it was amazing, or all our shots were in his chest and he didn’t have to do anything to block them, ha ha ha, lets stick with the super hero part, it sounds better for explaining Mavs shot/goal percentages.  Yes, Mtn view has had better days and more accurate shots in the past, but we left the field with a pretty large margin win despite the goalies super powers.  Great job Mavs!

Mountain view matched up against Coronado High School from Henderson Nevada in Green Valley area.  The Cougars are 5-2 in game play, and showed the Mavs how good they were and the Mavs came up short.  Final Score was 12-10 Cougars.  Check out some of Maverick Highlights from the game!

Another highlight of the Mountain View Mavericks Lacrosse team vs the Centennial Patriots.  I was really hoping for a good match up between these two teams but the Mavericks just manhandled the Patriots.  It was never close at any time during the game, yes, the Patriots had two goals putting in a little showcase on offense but they just couldn’t handle the overwhelming attack that Mtn View delivered them.  The Mavericks just came off a tough weekend in Portland Oregon losing both games by very solid teams, Jesuit-Portland and West Linn.  Some of these teams featured had D1 East coast College recruits that were amazing (from what I was told by some of the parents that made the trip) Jesuit-Portland is here this weekend for tournament play.  Mountain View is a sold team, and will most likely be dominant the entire season.  For more information about this video, or to have a highlight created, just send me a message!

I guess you would call this the season opener, Mtn View D1 vs Skyview D2 lacrosse game on the Hawks field this past Wednesday night.  First of all I want to apologize for this highlight to all the defenders, who did amazing allowing no points.  Yes, it was 25-0!  This highlight is all the goals scored, yes 25 of them, and no defense. I love defense, but there wasn’t much of a challenge on both sides.  So once again, sorry to the defenders! It got so bad that towards the end, instead of teammates giving the guy, who scored, a high five, they were giving them bad looks like “really, again”.. ha ha ha just kidding, but it was getting old.  Great job to the team and the coaches for being prepared and playing on this high level.  Obviously, there are things they can work on, no team is perfect.  Enjoy all 25 goals in 4 minutes!  On to the next match!  Great job Mavs!  Also, if you want to see some of the pre-game photos click this link and enjoy! http://www.jeremyrerickson.com/Sports/Lacrosse/Mtn-View-Lacrosse/Mtn-View-LAX-2017/Mavs-Lax-vs-Skyview-Hawks-3-15-1/

Fun weekend of lacrosse at the Gem state Jamboree.  I combined two games into one on the highlight reel.  Used my 12′ pole and Canon XA 30 to film in 1080p 60 fps.
